Snowcat Dinner

Snowcat

Snowcat

In Montana, we spent a night riding up a mountain in a snowcat to enjoy a semi-private dinner at a restaurant located at the top of the main ski lift.  We met the snowcat at another restaurant, picked up some drinks for the road (or, um, mountain), and embarked on an incredibly fun journey.  It might be the pre-dinner drinks or, maybe, the company (probably both), but these snowcat dinners always create some amazing memories.  There is just something about riding up a mountain, in an unconventional vehicle, surrounded by family, music, and a lot of laughter that is hard to explain.  It is a “you would have to be there” kind of experience.  For me, it was also an epiphany.  In those moments, I came to the realization that, even though things might not be going exactly according to plan, for some reason, I know that everything will turn out okay.

Wow that looks like such a cool experience! I had never heard of a snowcat before, but dining at a mountain restaurant looks amazing. Your comment about “everything being ok” definitely came at the right time for me. I’ve been feeling like I’m not sure about my future career, etc. so thank you for the reminder that everything will work out :)

i didnt even know what a snowcat was until i read this post. thanks for educating me, brooke

`it might be the pre dinner drinks…` haha. i think that is a certifiably scientific fact that pre dinner drinks make everything a notch up fun experience.

  6. This sounds like an amazing experience! I’m so jealous of your amazing time in Montana.

Maybe I’m picking up on it wrong, but I’m sending internet hugz from PA. It can’t be easy to go from living with V to being so far apart for the forseeable future.

  7. Also- I said ‘amazing’ twice and sound like a tool. awesome.

Brooke, I’m a little disappointed that you never got around to telling us what snowcats eat for their dinner…..
